This is a selection of images from my time working as a photojournalist for Versión Final, a daily newspaper based in Maracaibo, Venezuela. During my time there, I covered a wide range of stories—from local news and politics to sports and community events— capturing the rhythm and reality in the region.

In 2013, I was honored with the "Sergio Antillano" award, a recognition granted by the Municipality of Maracaibo to journalists who have made an impact through their work. It meant a lot, not just as a professional milestone, but as a reminder of the responsibility that comes with documenting real stories.

My experience at Versión Final was a formative chapter in my career, and it continues to influence how I approach storytelling through imagery. I worked at the newspaper for over two years before relocating to The Netherlands, carrying with me the deep lessons learned from documenting my hometown.
